Funny Questions that People Ask Me All the Time...

Does each participant get their own horse? YES!

Do you offer "private" riding lessons? Usually a new participant will start out in a lesson on their own, but we try to schedule them with other riders as quickly as possible because we have found that riders learn better with other riders to watch and have fun with. We do not usually have more than four riders in a session, but may have as many as six. Most often there are two to three riders in each session.

Do we offer trail rides? No, we are not near any trails.

Can we gallop in the first lesson? NO!

Do riders just go around the riding arena? Yes, but they will be taught riding skills as quickly as is safe.

Do you have small horses for small riders? Yes, we have 17 horses that go from very, very small to humongous, however, we have been trained to choose the most appropriate horse for each participant, and size is not the only factor in those decisions.

Can I ride with my child? We will allow that on occasion, however, children and adults learn very differently and we use very different arena activities for children and adults, so we will not do a regular lesson with a child and adult at the same time.

Is it ok if I stay and watch my child ride? YES, we provide viewing areas for parents to hang out and be comfortable while their child rides. We encourage parents to watch, but prefer that they do not distract their child while they ride. Some parents actually go out and take a walk around the edges of the polo field and take advantage of the "break time" and nice scenery.

May I take photos of the horses, staff and facility? Yes! We have photo releases from everyone, and the horses LOVE to have their picture taken!
